"Lightbulb" is Troy Kokol's second single from the award-winning sophomore album Lonely Ghost, which was released in 2018 and earned Kokol a nomination for Best Folk Album at the Indigenous Music Awards, and a win for the Songwriter of the Year Award at the YYC Music Awards. The multi-talented Calgary artist wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered the album and later created the video for "Lightbulb" using both stop motion and traditional animation.
