"Jim Cuddy" is the lead single from Troy Kokol’s award-winning sophomore album Lonely Ghost, which was released in 2018 and earned Kokol a nomination for Best Folk Album at the Indigenous Music Awards, and a win for the Songwriter of the Year Award at the YYC Music Awards. The multi-talented Calgary artist wrote, recorded, mixed, and mastered the album and also wrote and directed the video, working alongside former Hanna Barbara animator Reggie Entienza.
